Frost/Freeze Warnings Posted for Overnight Monday
Monday, April 28, 2008
Colder air will remain over Illinois through Tuesday, producing temperatures around 15 degrees below normal. The coldest temperatures will be felt today and tonight as highs will only reach the middle 40s to lower 50s during the day, with lows around freezing tonight.
A Freeze Warning is in effect overnight where widespread frost is expected over the northern and central portions of the state north of Interstate 70. Patchy frost may occur south of Interstate 70 to the Kentucky border.
Sensitive plants and flowers should be brought indoors and protected from the cold temperatures overnight.
